After talking with over 500 Nigerian freelancers, we discovered the real problems: payment systems that barely worked, support teams that didn't understand our context, limited resources for skill development, and insufficient protection when projects went wrong. The algorithms on global platforms seemed designed to favor established markets over emerging ones like ours.
